There are also concerns that young people in particular might head overseas where it's not so safe. This sounds like quite a big shake up, but I understand that there are even more changes on the way. In many ways, we think might be better. The biggest change is that for a long time, the term surgeon has not been protected. Only those that have completed appropriate government approved training programs to become a proper surgeon can now call themselves a surgeon. Those that were previously surgeons calling themselves cosmetic surgeons will no longer be able to do so.
