How to Get Your Films Into Film Festivals
My film Evil Aliens went to Toronto Midnight Madness, which is an amazing experience as a filmmaker. It meant I got a chance to talk to a lot of the kind of bigger distribution companies like Brad Pitts company. But in the end, I was doing a film for the sci-fi channel next, so it wasn't really probably the best move. As a filmmaker though, Julian is actually right, get your films into festivals because that's the place where they're going to get seen and you'll get noticed. The real key to any successful film though is your story has to be good and unique and it has to have something in it that people want to see.
