The Differences Between Recording and Mixing
The first second you make a rule, you're wrong. You got to just lean into it. What does this shit sound like? What does it sound like? I'm not going to sit here and fight it. It depends what more depends on the size of the venue. Like if you're on a giant arena thing, it's one thing, but if you're in like a real tight place, a lot of times the vocal mic sucks because it's getting so much bleed from the cymbals that are close to it. And vice versa on the big stages. Because there's no reflections anywhere. It's like everything's open.
