The International Criminal Trials for Yugoslavia

In 1995, as a response to the massacre in Schrebenitsa, NATO began Operation Deliberate Force. It was an aggressive air campaign to weaken Serb forces in Bosnia. The Dayton Agreement of 1995 brought an end to the violence and led to the creation of a single state known as Bosnia-Herzegovina. Violence did continue in other parts of Yugoslavia, including in the Kosovo war in 1999.
