"We had way more reach and way more newsletter signups than we anticipated on in the first couple of days," he says. "It was sort of amazing to look at our stats and say like, wow, Facebook is just, it just used to be there." He adds: "I do think that when you're in the news business, like you got to have some news in it ... I mean, ultimately you can't totally fake it".
