The Drawbacks of Semantic Parsing
We were aiming to view this more as a reading comprehension path where you are inspired by semantic parsing to do what's called multi-hop reasoning nowadays and do some inference over text. There's some very interesting work from people at Google, from William Cohen's group at Pittsburgh,. They have some good results on other complex web questions. These to me feel like the interesting research direction still in semantic parsing.
