The Role of Norepinephrine in Hypotension

Norepinephrine is the vasopressor of choice. Opeamine is inferior to norepinephrine in that it causes more arrhythmias. The best presser for hemorrhagic shock will slow your heart rate a little and cause increased systemic vascular resistance. If you suspect someone who is in tamponade, you want something that will keep their heart rate fast.
