In Yellowstone, the elk there before wolves, they would go through these big cycles of like their population would grow to this huge number. And then they would basically eat themselves into into a famine and then they would have this big drop off. So that elk would have they would have so many cows and whatnot. And then to a point where they actually didn't have enough food and then there would be a famine - which has now been stabilized by wolves.
