The Bias in Rheumatology
Studies show blacks in rheumatoid arthritis are more likely to be prescribed steroids. And it's potentially a bias on RN, too, right? Absolutely. You can't have an open, honest dialogue with your patients unless you know a little bit about them. They're people inside the clinical encounter as well. But, you know, outside of the clinic, they're not patients.
