Peter Dunne's reply to the budget was a showbiz event. He backed some of the government's budget measures, including increased funding for welfare and spending on new medicines. Dutton praised part of the budget because that is political death. Getting Dutton's praise on anything is basically spelling the end for Alba. Can you just endorse Alba? Easy saying, I would easily do a great job because we roll with it the week. You generally said it was a big spending budget that would fuel inflation. But even though it was a four billion dollar surplus, it was still a big Spending Budget. And he had far too much detail, like drill down into things just to actually drill
