Is It a Matter of Perception or Belief?

Vickenstein: The things that he thinks are so obvious are matter of perception. He doesn't really get into the nitty gritty of that perceptual stuff. Vickenstein: If you have skeptical ideas, we have them because they're motivated. And if your skepticism calls into question the very assumptions that motivated your skepticism in the first place, then you've undermined the whole project.
