The Problem With Multiple Indicators Latent Factors
When we think of something as a single score, when it's an aggregate of things and the different pieces, any of those pieces contribute differently, this problem exists. I have never published a latent curve model with a multiple indicator latent factor where we evaluate these things empirically. But oh my God, should we? Absolutely. You people out there need to be doing it.
