Founder and chief executive officer of North Rock, John D'Antonio, started his career trading equity derivatives at Morgan Stanley. He moved to Maverick where he worked for six years before setting up the new fund. The company has raised more than $1 billion so far this year; it's one of the most popular funds on Wall Street.
