Is There a Happiness Penalty to Pay?
We were trying to get pregnant, and we were writing a paper on women happiness. I found that the happiness hit was much smaller than it would be for, you know, a 20 year old high school drop out who was having becoming a single mom. The data still suggests that people with kids are less happy than people without even though among people like us, that happiness hit is smaller. We're willing to pay it fort for the for the a experience of seeing if it's not so bad.
