The Effects of Climate Change on Women and Girls

When the Indian Ocean tsunami hit in 2004, 70% of the deaths were female. Women's clothes which they wear affects their ability to be able to flee. Climate change affects access to family planning and reproductive and maternal health. It affects nutrition and nutritional outcome of mothers and of babies.
