The Atomic Structure of Glass

The Romans did a great deal with glass from, let's say, the first, for 1500 years they were in charge of the operation. Paul McMillan: The atoms in a glass are disordered. Compared with the atoms in a crystal where they're all in perfectly regular array of positions. It's this mixture of all these different units that make glass different to crystalline structures.
