Why Should More Women Go to College?

Amalia miller is an economist at the university of virginia. She and two co authors recently published a paper which found that college may produce bigger benefits for women than men. One outcome they measured was future earnings for men vers women who attended an alite university. For women, we find that attending a school that is more selective leads to a 14 % increase in earnings.
