In the age of flat packs, for example, it doesn't really matter what distro you're using. You're going to get the same applications from flat hub as long as flat pack works on the distro. But because you're using a distro that has fewer users, the flat pack isn't being tested on it. And even though these packaging formats are supposed to be universal and never break, we are human after all, and they will break.
