"I'm in rough draft mode. Nobody talked to me from eight in the morning to five to six at night," he says. "If I can get four hours of straight writing before anything else happens in the morning, the whole rest of my day makes sense" The writer is traveling a lot and has no time for home life or cell phones. He's working 12, 14, 16 hours a day but would love two months unbroken.
