The Community Will Only Shift When We Do Our Part, Right?
When we're rooted in shame, shame leads to cruelty towards self and others. And then my last point is around criticism and condemnation. Those people are probably the people that are having the fight trauma response. They're activating their defense mechanisms to try and keep themselves safe. So I do think that if we want more peace and love and empathy and compassion in the community, we need to do our own individual work.
