How to Strengthen Your Partner's Vagal Tone

I think that we can support each other in our relationships and work through the trauma that we all carry. Let's say my arousal is too steep because I have PTSD or something from a really traumatic event or a series of chronic traumas like war. Now it's just maybe too hard for me to do that. Is it probably best for me to go see a psychotherapist to get myself more okay in my own body so that I can do more mindfulness practices? We are much more able to stay in this optimal arousal zone when even our partner is activated and be able to hold that space for them. And then after one person has started to regulate their activation then moving over and working
