There is a lot of promising research happening for development of new destruction and disposal technologies. There are also technologies like reverse osmosis and an ion exchange that are also effective at treating PFAS down to very low levels. "I'm hopeful that in a few years we may see better methods for disposing of or destroying aPFAS waste," says Dr. David Weinberger.
