A Vector Is a Vector, and It Exists in Physics
The word vector is sometimes used to represent an arrow, something that has a particular direction. The data essentially give us a direction to point. One of the most famous books ever written in factor analysis was by l l stone and the title is vectors of mind. It's one of my favorite titles of all time because it's the marrying of statistics and the subsedent work that we all do.
