The Dilemma of Slavery in Haiti

For the first time, a major slaveholding power had issued a general emancipation of its slaves. Slavery was dead in san domang and not even napoleon bonaparte would be able to reimpose it. Once they were free, many slaves did not want to go back to work cutting, piling and boiling sugar day after day forever. This dilemma is going to play a big part of the story once tusson luvature comes to power.
