In 2002, it was global excluding the US fixed income at 22.37% that year. In 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2017, it was emerging markets with its highest annualized return of 78.51% in 2009. In 2010, 2013, and yes, even 2020, the winner was small cap equities as measured by the Russell 2000 with a top return in 2013 of 38.82%. Have you noticed anything yet?
