There's a decent chance that something else might have happened, but we can't necessarily assume that whatever that something is would have led to this huge, continent wide conflagration. I was talking with my wife about this earlier, non a, yew. Guys read the novel 11 22 63 by stephen king. But i'll just say that the whole point of it was, a guy goes back in time save john f kennedy, assuming that everything would be better because of that. What ends up happening is not better. It's just kind of the law of unintended consequences.
