The Importance of Studying Truth
The end of study should be to direct the mind towards the enunciation of sound and correct judgments on all matters that come before it. That's rule number one. So that's definitely inferior to Anscombe. But anyway, I like Anscombe. They're pretty damn similar. Knowing truth in one area helps you in knowing it in others. The question specific areas is chiefly valuable insofar as it contributes to universal wisdom. It's a pretty ambitious gauntlet throwing right here at the beginning.
