The History of the Mutter Museum
The Mutter Museum is part of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. It started in the 19th century with a donation from Thomas Dent major, a Philadelphia surgeon who operated on hundreds of patients with only a cell anatomy. The museum's mission is to display this variation of the human body with an educational purpose.
