The Mercy of God

The Bible doesn't say God is wrath. It says God has wrath because He is love. Mercy is deeper in His heart than wrath. We drove Him to wrath and He responds by drawing us through love with mercy. The life-giving power of God for dead sinners flows into this world in only one place at the cross. That's the only way out of the feedback loop of self-glorification.
