She was groundbreaking in that she had racially integrated services. A bunch of clansmen hundreds showed up one Sunday night for service. She began telling a story about an old black farmer who came to town and saw a beautiful church. He tried to go in and join the worship, but was kicked out and told to go to the Negro church down the road. And with that, the clansmen all got up and filed out and didn't come back.
