Is There a Category for This Kind of Lyric?
Katy meadows, assistant professor of philosophy a indiana university. I like though, that even if it is coming pretentally accidentally, i feel like the production matches the lyric here. The fact that it sets you up to expect one word and you get another just completely tickled me. And i wanted to figure out whether there's a sort of category for this kind of line. So one of my friends suggested it might be a mind rhyme,. where what's going on is a line sets youup to hear a rhyme but the rhyme is left unsaid.
