The Redemptive Arc in Stepan Trophimovic
Stepan Trophimovic embodies the redemptive arc. He's meant to be a tutor towards Var Varus' son, but then at the same time struggles with social dynamic. Dostoevsky was someone who went to a party and would sit at the side of the party,. When someone talks to him, he would give a long monologue before shut up. So he was a very awkward person; this step-on-tro-fimvitch plays a similar role.
