Filming a Documentary About China's Economic Rise
The film doesn't have any kind of conventional narrative structure, but there are many vignettes and tonal shifts. I think it was the shooting style that some places were less familiar with. Because the film isn't overtly political, we were able to be up froght about what we were doing. And then we're able to do this thing of dealing with that mass of edit during quarantine lock downs,. et cetera.
