Samira Nasr: I think what you're supposed to do is imply that a whole world exists outside of that frame. And so especially when it comes to sort of the surreal aspects of the show, rather than being explicit about it, I think it's just more powerful to imply and let people sort of perceive it themselves. How much of your approach to storytelling is informed by Miyazaki's use of Ma in his films? "I just think there's something about the way he perceives time that really resonates with me"
