The Regulative Principle of Reason
Kant says that maybe at a certain point here, we've reached the limit of what reason, in its speculative powers can do. We can't get any more knowledge about god or something than where we've got to at this point of an antinomy. But reason has other functions than just generating knowledge; it also has a practical function,. Like, reason has this category called, like, practical reason. It turns out that some of these ideas still have a really important function for us in how we in our iner, in our practices, right? And so they become a kind of regulative, a regulating principle.
