Vedanta and Love Karma

My understanding is that the Japanese Buddhists have a sense of the mind body and spirit integrated. So it does seem as though it's a much more expansive idea than the idea of a literal reincarnation into another mind and body. Vedanta fully understands and attaches a great importance of free will. Free will is there. That's why, you know, by consciously making our own effort, by doing good actions, good thoughts, we can modify our destiny.
