How to Deal With Uncomfortable Thoughts

The more energy that you devote to trying to control how you think, the more likely it is that the thoughts will persist and you'll feel overwhelmed. Acceptance is really powerful. Just to say: I do have these thoughts. They're uncomfortable. They're difficult. I wish I didn't have them, but they're there. It's okay. Except them, I tolerate them, I work through them.
