Do You Have a Balanced Conversation About Nutrition?

The cortisol spike that we experience in the morning is totally normal and whether we want to modulate that response with food is contextual. We definitely aren't seeking to drive cortisol down to any sort of very low levels in the morning. The second thing that we have to think of is that if you're in a physiological state where we do want to bring down the stress load, eating a rice cake or a very small meal before drinking your coffee might be missing the big rocks.
