Is There a School of Thought in Physics?
There is a culture in physics of reducing everything to the smallest possible units. If we managed to achieve that, then we'd have a grand unified theory. But if we could figure out a way of unifying these forces with gravity, wed have a so called theory of everything. And you know, astro physics go physics by physics, they won't stop. Even particle physics won't end. It would be like thinking prior toe, i always think of this s kind of reminiscent of our so called completion of the periodic table. Once we'd found element number a hundred and 18, we'd have a chemical theory of everything - but it's still pervasive.
