The Unsettling Feeling of Privacy
There's something kind of unsettling about personalization in the sense that we usually think of a right as something that you can wave. So for example, even though I have a right not to vote, if we had all the technology in the world, we might do certain things to enhance my probability of doing so. And thus, in some sense, restricting my liberty to choose not to exercise certain options. You could try to personalize law without imagining a situation where the state is watching us at all times.
