DRW Venture Capital: A Diversification Strategy
DRW was founded in 92 by CEO Don Wilson and the heritage as you mentioned is in trading. The firm has expanded to include a real estate investing subsidiary called Convexity Properties, Cumberland which is our OTC liquidity desk for crypto and venture. To move into venture to have some skin in the game with companies that are also in our space made complete sense for us. And what year did DRW VC start? The first investment on the venture portfolio was made a handful of years ago, probably five years ago within my coverage.
