The Relationship Between Computing and Representation in the Brain

In a digital computer you can get computations with or without representation Usually you have them with representations. In the brain there are representations that are Manipulated by the brain. The relation between computation and representation in the brain is very importantly different from the relation that occurs in a digital computer. It's sort of a causal power of these internal states. It can be used to guide action and this is a promising idea for understanding intentionality, which is a huge important aspect of the mind.
