The Importance of Rebaptism
If you have taken upon yourself the name of Christ, if you've established a covenant relationship with Him, then that relationship will hold and to renew that relationship, all that is required is partaking of the sacrament. And logistically, it's a whole lot easier than rebaptism. Both baptism and washing of the feet had to do with cleanliness and purity, and there's water there. There's lowering Himself there. He re-emphasizes it in verse 16 and 17. Verily, verily, so truly, truly, are you getting this?
