"The beauty of strikes is they're hard. And and so if we're doing our work right, if we're actually coaching and teaching thousands and tens of thousands of workers along the way for what it takes to do this, it means that we're literally building a small army," he says. "I mean, los angeles just built an army, right? There's the sheer amount of leadership development that happened from day one of the strike until the end of the strike among the 34 thousand education workers."
