Horror Music - The Rattling Drum Beat

i think the violins from psycho are a pretty perfect example of what, what form that music usually takes. It creates mental pictures, for sure. But that sound with the violin feels like a knife stabbing, you know. I don't know if i can unmarry those sounds. To come back to the shining again, there's another thing that i think is a really great example of horror music, in particular, meaning that moment of horror as opposed to terror.
