In Colorado, if your income is below a certain limit, you are not eligible for any of the ACA subsidies. If you want to keep your plan and get an ACA subsidy, you don't want to be stuck onto a Medicaid only health insurance option. "I doubt that Medicaid is any worse or better than any other insurance for acute care," he says.
