The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

The Heisenberg uncertainty principle is very important because it allows a whole bunch of things to happen that normally would be impossible. So as one example, we can tell there are no actual fixed orbital positions of electrons about the nucleus. We can only define the position by making the wavelength a bit fuzzy and therefore making the momentum a bit fuzzy. And so that's why you can't measure them both to an arbitrary degree of accuracy.
