The Gift of Baptism Is Open to Children
Baptism is open to children, there's no age restriction. Jesus in that famous episode in which the apostles were trying to prevent parents from bringing their children to Jesus,. he says, do not stop the little children from coming to me. The church has always recognized this as extending to the question of baptism for infants because they can't make that decision. They bring them to the church to be baptized. This is a fulfillment at a higher and grace-filled level of the ordinance of circumcision.
