Is Iron Based Cathode a Better Alternative to Nickel?
Iron based cathodes help you shift away from the need for nickel and cobalt material specifically. Nickel and cobalt chemicals relevant for lithium ion batteries are in tremendous shortage. And those shortages are expected to continue because once again, that supply chain is just so severely under invested. The probability of a battery fire is tremendously less than it is for a nickel rich Cathode.
