The M Switch: Effects on Perception and Consciousness
This chapter of the podcast discusses the M switch and its effects on the brain. The M switch refers to tropane alkaloids found in plants like datura. These alkaloids bind to the M1 receptor in the brain, blocking acetylcholine and causing psychedelic effects.
